Aluminium Scaffold Towers Limited manufactures and sells top quality Scaffold Towers. We are an ISO9001 accredited manufacturer – one of the very few to achieve the British Standard Kitemark (BS EN 1004 Class 3 Standard) for mobile scaffold towers. Our company takes pride in its range of scaffold tower products, all of which are manufactured to the highest quality as well as meeting exacting industry safety standards.

When do we collect your personal information?

What information do we collect?

  • Customer group i.e. General if you have created an account with us, Guest if checking out as a guest, Phone order, Returning or eBay referral.

  • Name.
  • Your eBay user ID which is only used for identification purposes should you contact us through eBay messages or directly with any enquiries relating to an order you have placed with us on eBay.
  • Company name and VAT number if applicable.
  • Billing and delivery address.
  • Contact telephone number.
  • How did you get to know us for example through Google, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook
  • For your security we will also keep an encrypted record of your login password however we do not have access to this password. If you have lost or forgotten your password we can send a new auto-generated password directly to your email as requested.
  • Any comments regarding delivery and any other relevant comments you have provided relating to an order you have placed with us.
  • Copies of documents you provide to prove your address as requested by our online payment merchant WorldPay to carry out further checks prior to fulfilling an order. This will likely include your full name and address. If you provide a utility bill may include payment amounts which you are legally entitle to blank out. If you provide a passport or driving license will include your date of birth, place of birth, photo, gender and nationality also.

Who do we share your personal information with?

The personal information we collect is important for us to provide you with our products and services and we fully understand that the storage and use of your personal information is vitally important for you also. As such we will never share your details with any third party for their marketing purposes.

We will only share your personal information with a limited number of trusted third party companies for reasons such as payment processing and delivering products that you have ordered with us.

We use a small number of trusted couriers to deliver our products. In order for them to arrange delivery they do require your contact name and address, telephone number should they need to contact you regarding any aspect of the delivery and your email address to provide you with the tracking details.

If you have provided specific delivery instructions or given us an alternative contact for delivery we will pass these details over to our courier also with your consent.

Where you have purchased a product that is delivered directly from one of our suppliers we will provide them with your personal details over a secure internet connection as outlined above purely for their delivery purposes. They are also bound by the same terms and conditions as set out in this policy.

If you would like us to quote for delivery outside of the UK then we may need to share some of your personal details such as your delivery address with one of our trusted third party international delivery companies in order to provide you with an accurate quote. If the quote is then converted into an order we will also need to share your contact telephone number and email address for them to provide their services.

Payments are processed directly through our online payment merchant’s web portal such as WorldPay and PayPal over a secure internet connection and as such we do not take or store any of your payment information directly.

Your login password is stored in encrypted form on our database and we do not have access to this. If you have lost or forgotten your password we can send a new auto-generated password directly to your email at your request.

All areas of our website including payment pages are secured using https technology.

Any payment card details are sent directly to our online payment merchant in encrypted from over a secure internet connection.

Any emails sent from us to you go through a secure remote mail server over a secure internet connection.

We regularly check our system for vulnerabilities to identify areas to further strengthen our security and protect your personal information.

How long do we keep your personal information?

We keep records of your personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with after sales service or for other essential purposes such as complying with our legal obligations.

Records of invoices must be kept for at least a minimum of 5 years after you have placed an order with us for tax purposes and as required by law.

We may keep an encrypted record of your past orders on our database for longer purely to help identify you and your previous purchases should you come back to us with any future enquiries.

If the information provided is personally sensitive to yourselves we can delete all records off our system after the legally required retention period at your request. However in doing so please note that we will probably not be able to offer you the same level of customer service if you did come back to us in future.

After the specified retention periods we will dispose of your personal information in a secure a manner.

If your purchase included a manufacturer’s guarantee from ourselves we will keep a record of your order and any associated personal details until the end of the guarantee period to help us deal with any complaints and issue replacement parts or longer as required by law.

How can you access and control your personal information?

If you have created an account with us you can access your personal information at any time by logging into your account using your email address and password provided at the time of account creation. Here you can view and update your personal information and save any changes.

If you have not created an account or have placed an order with us over the phone you can contact us and with your permission we can update any of your personal information for you.

We will always send over an automated order confirmation email with your personal details on regardless of the order source. If you have not received the order confirmation email or if any of your details are incorrect please notify us immediately and we will update them for you.

You have the right to request that we change or delete your personal information unless we are legally required to keep it by law as set out in this privacy policy.

What we will not do with your personal information?

We will never share your personal information with any third parties for their marketing purposes.

We do not store any credit/debit card details on our system. These are processed directly by our online payment merchant over a secure internet connection.

We will not send you marketing emails unless you have opted in to receive such emails at the time of placing an order with us. The box used to sign up to receive such emails must be unticked as required by law and you will only receive them if you have physically ticked this box. If you believe you are receiving marketing emails in error please contact us immediately and we will remove you from our emailing list as required by law.
